Directions for Youth & Families provides community-based treatment and prevention services and educational programs in Franklin County.
Candidates must be effective in providing group, individual, and/or family services with culturally diverse youth and adults, addressing issues such as substance abuse, delinquency, abuse/neglect, and domestic violence. Most services are provided using an outreach model in homes, schools, and community locations convenient to the client.
Positions include social workers, counselors, prevention specialists, therapists, case managers, and outreach workers. All program positions require a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field. Depending on the position, and LSW/LPC, LISW, LPCC, or CCDC credential may be required.

Provides community based treatment services to youth between the ages of 5 and 7. Also will provide treatment services to youth between the ages of 10 and 17 with a focus on anger management. PROMISES COUNSELOR
The Promises Program works with youth between the ages of 7 and 17. The program provides individual, group, and family counseling to survivors of sexual abuse. Goals of the program include helping survivors of sexual abuse overcome their experience, preventing self-destructive behaviors associated with sexual abuse, strengthening social/family relationships in order to promote positive growth, and teaching skills to prevent re-victimization. The selected individual must possess strong clinical skills and knowledge of strategies used to treat survivors of sexual abuse.
LSW or LPC required. Masters degree, minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and families, and experience working with trauma survivors preferred.
